The first session begins with an intake and conversation, followed by guided instruction and practice. Each session lasts one hour and includes the appropriate tools of yoga to support the client’s present moment presentation and future goals. Each session is unique and builds on the previous session. 

The tools of yoga are posture and movement, breath practices, meditation, and deep relaxation. Tina interweaves these essential components to support each client’s individual presentation, supporting balance.

Some clients come in once or twice while others prefer to continue to check in more regularly. Each client is unique – and how often and how long clients work with Tina is determined through collaboration and conversation. 

Yes. Tina highly recommends daily practice. Upon request, Tina supplies notes to help you practice at home. It’s often best to start with shorter sessions and build up over time.

Yoga Therapy and Mindfulness can benefit anyone who is interested in learning and practicing. Curiosity and an open mind are the only requirements.

Mindfulness is a style of meditation based in present moment awareness. Many schools of meditation consider mindfulness the base from which all other practices expand. Mindfulness sets the wheel of awareness in motion and allows us to live more consciously and more aligned with our intentions, hopes, and dreams. 

Yes!  With a background as a high school Spanish teacher, Tina is an accomplished teacher and enjoys working with beginners and advanced practitioners, enhancing their understanding and practice of yoga and meditation. 

Yoga isn’t about flexibility – it’s about creating a healthy relationship with body, mind, and heart, wherever we find ourselves. Tina has worked with clients in wheelchairs and with limited movement. She has experience in modifying postures and offering props to support good alignment and a full experience for all clients.

Tina has worked with clients with Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and other neurological challenges, as well as clients with cancer, depression, anxiety, diabetes, and many more. Yoga Therapy is designed to help bring balance to body, mind, and spirit and can be adapted for all diagnoses.
